KATHMANDU STREET 2015

KATHMANDU STREET

During my participation in the first PHOTO KATHMANDU in October/November of 2015 I had the opportunity to take to the streets during down time from the festival and engage in my surroundings the way I like to, on foot and with a camera.

Amidst a crippling fuel crisis and only a few months after the devastating earthquake, Kathmandu was bustling. The markets full, the small streets packed with life and the city very much had the feeling of a place that was just getting on with life despite the complications of its situation.

I do need to express that is this is by no means a “photo essay” on the state of Nepal during that time, or a comment on its political situation it is merely a series of images made in the spirit of street photography.
